Jessica Ding is a 4th year MD-PhD candidate at Michigan State University. Jessica graduated from the Harvard and New England Conservatory dual degree program, where she received her BA in social anthropology (2020) and her MM in harp performance (2021). Her doctoral research in medical anthropology traces the evolving integration of acupuncture for chronic pain in San Francisco and is supported by an NIH F30 fellowship. Jessica previously served as APSA’s Advocacy Committee Chair. As President-Elect, she is excited to grow APSA’s platform and amplify the voices of physician-scientist trainees, particularly in the social sciences. Outside of school, Jessica enjoys trying new cuisines, traveling, and reading crime thrillers.
