Abstract submission is now closed.

When will I know if my abstract was accepted?

  • Travel Award applicants should not expect notification any earlier than February 2012. All other submitters will receive an e-mail notification of abstract disposition in February.

Travel Awards
All decisions about Travel Awards will be made as quickly as possible after the submission deadline. Applicants should not expect to receive notification any earlier than February 2012.

The Joint Meeting offers a $750 Travel Award to select submitters. We also offer competitive $1,000 Best Poster Awards, given on the basis of scientific novelty, quality, and clarity of presentation. There will be a small number of top scoring abstracts submitted as posters chosen for an oral presentation on Sunday morning, April 29. Presenters selected must be available at this time to present their work.

Friday, April 27 Setup 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Saturday, April 28 Viewing 7:00 a.m. – 8:30 a.m.
    Noon – 1:30 p.m.
  Dismantle 1:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Instructions for Poster Presenters
Presenters scheduled in poster sessions will be assigned a board to display text and other illustrative material (graphs, charts and tables). Please mount materials on your poster board at the time indicated above.  The presenting author must be positioned at the poster board during the presentation time from noon to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.  Material must be removed at the dismount time listed above. 

  • The poster board area is approximately 4 feet high by 8 feet wide.
  • Prepare a label for the top of your poster space indicating the title and authors.
  • Lettering for the title should not be less than one and one-half inches.
  • Your Poster Number will be supplied and located in the upper left hand corner of the board. When you enter the Poster Session Room, look for your poster number and then place your poster.
  • A limited number of push pins will be provided to mount your poster. Bring push pins.
